Events at Woven History & Silk Road

Join us for events at Woven History & Silk Road! Each month, we host an array of different events, ranging from craft workshops to book clubs. If you would like to host or collaborate on an event, please email us! We would love to work together. 

 Here are the events we have coming up:

SATURDAY, AUGUST 1ST: Chai & Chat (6:00 pm to 7:30 pm)

• Join us for our first Chai & Chat event! Caffeinated and herbal teas will be provided at $2-$5 a cup (donation-based). Other treats will be for sale as well. Spend time getting to know people in your community and making new friends while sipping on tea! We will also be offering 10% off merchandise. 
• Cost: $2-5 for chai (donation-based); other snacks available for purchase

THURSDAY, AUGUST 13TH: BOOK CLUB - Communion by bell hooks (6:30 pm to 7:30 pm) 

• Join us for our monthly book club! This month we will be discussing Communion by bell hooks. Tea will be provided.

Saturday, August 15th: Tatreez Workshop with Kana'an Collective (1:00 pm to 3:00 pm)

• Join us for our first Tatreez workshop with Kana'an Collective! Learn Foundational stitches, explore the cultural meaning behind the patterns, and start your own piece in a relaxed, community-centered space. 
• Cost: $65 per person

THURSDAY, AUGUST 20th: Beaded Embroidery Workshop (6:00 pm to 8:00 pm)

• Join us for our second beaded embroidery workshop, where we will learn the basics of beaded embroidery. All materials will be provided, including embroidery hoops, felt backing, embroidery needles, and beads. We will be serving tea as well.
