Caucasian Sumaks are double-stitched, hand-embroidered flat-woven rugs known for their unique vegetable dyes and bold geometric patterns. They are some of the most labor-intensive rugs and are made of wool. The sumaks in our curated collection are all antique or semi-antique pieces in incredible condition. Most are narrow area rugs, perfect for historic homes such as DC row homes or New York brownstones.

This rug is made from organic wool and vegetable dyes. It is hand-washable: Please use cold water, soft liquid soap, and a soft brush to clean it. Professional cleaning done the traditional way is recommended. Vacuum as usual, but please be mindful of the fringe.
