A hand-embroidered fine needlework tapestery/wall hanging from Mongolia, done by the Altai Women's Crafts Project by Kazak women. Traditionally made by nomadic women as part of their dowry, these textiles are now used as tapestries, curtains, bed covers, couch covers, and table covers. This piece has a velvet foundation, with cotton thread used for the embroidery. The loops on top make it easy to hang this piece on a rod, as suggested.
Size: 2'5 x 2'7
